[Hac-announce] Uncle Tom's Cabin - Stowe Center private tour & book discussion

This Saturday, February 25, we will be discussing Harriet Beecher Stowe's
"Uncle Tom's Cabin".  This will be a three-part event.

1.  Group Tour of Harriet Beecher Stowe House:  We have arranged for a
private tour of the Harriet Beecher Stowe House to take place at 11:00 am.
 The House is next door to the Mark Twain House off of Farmington Ave in
Hartford.  Please meet at the Visitor's Center, 77 Forest Street,
 Hartford, CT 06105  860-522-9258.  Or, to reach me, call my cell phone @
860 324-3533.  Admission is $8/pp.  I'll have to put the total on a credit
card, so you can pay me on Sat.

Several people have expressed an interest in carpooling from the USNH in
Hamden.  Those wishing to do so should arrive at the parking lot by 9:50
am, and you should plan to be on the road no later than 10:00 am in order
to arrive by 11:00.

2.   Lunch at Lena's First and Last: Those interested will be having lunch
as a group at Lena's First and Last Pizzeria<http://www.sullyspub.com/menus.php>
, 2053 Park St, Hartford,  860 232-4481.

3.  Book Discussion:  Finally, the book discussion will be at our regular
spot at 3:00 pm.  I expect that we will arrive just in time from Hartford.
