From David Schafer regarding the final session of our "Historical
Jesus?" series scheduled for Saturday, October 16 at 2:00 PM at 700
Hartford Turnpike in Hamden:

Our meetings of "Historical Jesus?" have focused on a lot of videos that
have presented a number of different viewpoints, often contradicting each
other. At our final meeting on Saturday, October 16, I propose to get
genuine closure, with (1) a brief summary of the main high points; (2) tying
up of loose ends; (3) discussion of these videos, etc., among the members of
the group; and (4) together making a list of a few favorite hypotheses,
voting on these, and defending our votes. As a closing warm-up I suggest
that each one of you selects one or two of the following online readings
from Wikipedia, etc., with more to follow in a couple of days:

For starters just Google on "historical Jesus" or "historicity of Jesus,"
with or without additional words like "evidence" or "Stanford," and pick one
article to think about or refresh your memory. Start formulating your own
hypothesis to share with the group.

David
