Hello everyone,

Connecticut Foodbank's Walk Against Hunger has been the Humanist
Association of Connecticut's major fundraising event each year for over
ten years. This year's walk will be held on Saturday, May 18, the day
before our 30th Anniversary celebration.

The walk has a new location, Savin Rock Park in West Haven. It has also
switched to Saturday morning. Registration starts at 8:30 AM and the
walk itself at 10 AM. You'll have plenty of time to walk and still get
to the book discussion at USNH at 2:30 PM.

The point of the walk is to raise awareness of hunger in Connecticut, so
ideally you'd ask friends (including Facebook friends) and co-workers to
donate so you can talk about the issue. But it's great to just make a
donation yourself, whether you walk or not. Last year HAC was the fifth
highest fundraiser, despite being one of the smaller teams.

There are plenty of ways to get involved:
- Make a donation
- Plan on walking, and ask others for donations
- Plan on walking, and make a donation yourself
- Be a virtual walker
- Ask your employer about matching gifts

Please visit the HAC team page at https://cthumanist.org/walk to donate
or sign up as part of our walking team!
