Stan Greenberg has been working on bringing an Oregon-style Aid in Dying
bill to Connecticut. He asked that we all take action to prevent the
Federal government from overriding the law that the District of Columbia
recently passed.
Thanks for your help.
Richard.

Subject: Republicans' Attempt to Kill DC's Death with Dignity Law
Date: Fri, 15 Sep 2017 20:37:11 +0000 (UTC)
From: Stan Greenberg
Washington DC has passed a Death with Dignity law (Law 21-182) which
recently went into effect. DC's Council had past it by 11-2, and 2/3 of
DC's citizens favor it.
But, led by some Republican representatives, the House voted (on
9/14/2017) to “undo” it. If the Senate does the same thing, their next
step may be to make Aid in Dying illegal in the USA.
Please go to the websites of Senators Murphy and Blumenthal and type
short messages that ask (implore) them to oppose any effort by
Republican senators to deny DC’s citizens an option that they strongly
desire. The links are:

Thank you!
Stan
