Apologies for the short notice about this event.

Pat McCann, the chair of the Secular Coalition for Connecticut, and a
past president of Hartford Area Humanists and past co-chair of the
Connecticut Coalition of Reason will be the speaker at this Sunday's
"Humanist Haven" meeting of the Yale Humanist Community.

The meeting takes place in the Clubhouse at the Grove, a co-working
space located at 760 Chapel Street, New Haven, at 1 PM on Sunday, August
13, 2017.

Pat’s talk will focus on building awareness of Connecticut’s thriving
atheist/humanist/freethinker community. He’ll describe some of the great
things the individual groups are doing and emphasize the need for
outreach. Pat will also talk about what Connecticut’s secular activists
are doing as well as the Secular Coalition for Connecticut’s legislative
efforts in the state. Lastly, Pat will discuss how members of the
audience can engage in as much, or as little, activism they want and why
it is important to do so.
